it's a fad. like 'the internet is for porn' song.
and like anything else online that strains the fiber of hosts on the internet, eventually you'll run into people who are net savvy, who don't know what you mean by referencing it. just like all you base .. blah. and the uga chaka baby... and hax0rz, et al, simply because they haven't been around long enough.
