Well I think he's a major creep anyways. I'd prefer not to see him anywhere I ever go in Ktown.

Well, wether you like him or not isn't really the issue to me. It's the us against them bullshit attitude that's developed over the past few years that's pissing me off.

For the record: I like him, faults and plusses. But you don't have to.

Well, he gave me a hug once and in the process felt more of me than I felt comfortable. Yeah, I was drunk so I was a little slow to react, but still.

Plus I am pretty sure he took an intoxicated friend of mine in the back of Amnesia and asked for a blowjob...pretty rude if you ask me.

But anyways, the us-against-them thing is stupid, but honestly I've generally felt like KG was always against anyone not KG....events not KG, etc etc...I am not sure who promotes that feeling but its definitely there.

(you know I love you I'm just discussing y'know)

Does this mean that there will be less strobe lights?

Well, there have been times when other people, for their own personal gain have blatently tried to take advantage of the hard work that KG staff and members did to build a scene from nothing. I can see how our reaction could be seen as "us against whoever pissed us off" but in KGs defence, we've always been about running the business of serving the KG community. Sanctus paid for this site which has brough all of you together. Remember, there was a time when the community wasn't even close to being as well connected as it is now. KG did a alot to change that.

for that matter, it still is.

the events section is rather handy; even if i don't go out to much of anything, from what i've seen and heard, a lot of people people have found it useful.

plus, who the hell could live their life without seeing the stuff that gets posted in the dumpster?

well, ok, i could. but it's damn entertaining! like fark, and b3ta, and newgrounds, all in one place.

yeah, it's the shiznits.

I think he tried something with every chick he came across.

If you're reading this, sorry, Ralph, but it's the truth... Other than that though, he was cool...

i just went to your site arkady and read the post on ralph -
i want to state clearly and for the record that the idea of anyone telling ralph that he couldnt come to bluecats anymore to hang out with you or see the shows is completely insane -
rest assured that NO ONE from the temple staff has ever said anything remotely near that or would ever even suggest that

i think it is very clear that i have spent a lot of time and effort to maintain a good relationship with all business entities in the knoxville scene, even allowing flyering and promotions for other events (usually KG events) at temple.

I hope this false information did not implicate myself or anyone involved directly with temple. If so I would be interested in getting more details so that i can take care of the situation appropriately, i would also hope that someone would have contacted me immediately to verify or negate rumors like that. today is the very first i have heard of this

I said the Ballroom, not Temple. Temple does not = the ballroom.

Unfortunately my net was down for a couple of days, but apparently Ralph isn't fired from the Ballroom he's just taking a week off for personal/family reasons

Agreed. We (the promoters within this scene) are in a special arrangement with the clubs that host our nights. While we run an event, what a club may do with it's policies and employees are it's own biz, it does not mean that we the promoters have any say or have any agreement in.
We can make suggestions and requests about our nights but we don't own or run the bars (anyone want to fund a new club?) espc outside of our own nights.

I know that any of us promoters understand that, I want to make sure the rest of this community understands it as well.

even if i won the powerball at it's highest, i'd give a resounding "no"

after all, those creepy goth people hang out at clubs.

one day. yes i do.
but notime soon.
too many egos.
when people start listening to other people again? sure.

honestly in a few years when im done with clubbing, thats actually my plan.
but i figure thats about a decade away.

my apologies for being defensive on this, but the phase "club organizers" was used and i have been accused of being one of those before. also, in our crowd, esp with the younger ones, the ballroom=temple cuz there is very little that goes on at the ballroom of mass interest, unlike bluecats where there are a variety of events so the seperation is obvious - many times i have had people ask me if i run the "electric ballroom goth night" instead of temple -
so you see, i was obviously overly defensive and for that i apologize, but please understand, the statements that were made werent totally clear in an even fuzzier set of events (that sentance makes sense to me, but for some reason i think it wont to anyone else :D )

He's the guy that did the video type shit... I think that's what he was doing anyway, ha, either that or something with the sound... Now that I think of it, I really never paid that much attention to what he was doing. Whatever the fuck he did, he was the guy with short fro-ish hair, always wore shorts, located to the left whenever you walked into the main room... umm, at temple... (am I leaving out any details??)

well u know how i feel about it bone, if i had the money, id build the mutha with my own hands.....

I didnt believe what i heard when i first came to the scene and i still dont.....some siad it would be an education in drama 101, i dont personally care, i com,e to drink, party, play, and learn. Ive almost been here a year, and in that time ive filled my life with the joy of 10 lives, because of the work and events that u and the rest have put together, be it bluecats, or temple.....

That's any scene in any city, pretty much, we don't have an exclusivity on drama

i gotta say, ralph was a bit touchy feely at times, but then again there are quite a few other people that are as well. and nobody else says a damn thing. its all about whether or not you like them most of the time. if you don't then its wrong and they are creepy. otherwise you just dont like to be touched, and thats ok.

i gotta and it to ralph he is just a dirty old man(sorry ralph i had to make a snide comment lol), harmless. i dont belive he would actually do anything to hurt anyone. he just needs to learn when he's too up close and personal and not everyone likes to be hugged and such.

p.s. when he's not at the temple the sound kinda blows   just a thought......
