Some new photo-based stuff:
A soyuz capsule arriving at the USS Hornet in Alameda, CA using a fake tilt-shift technique to (try to) make it look like a miniature:
My daughter outside the
Musee De Mechinque at Fisherman's Wharf using some more fake DOF techniques:
Both of them look a bit better at larger sizes, so click on 'em then click "All Sizes" above the photo.

First off... thanks
Second: There's more info on how the fake miniatures are mad on the Flickr page for the tea garden, along with some useful links. Also, you may try doing a Google search for "fake tilt-shift."
Specifically, these two were done using Photoshop CS. CS or Elements is probably your best bet, but most other general purpose photo manipulation programs can achieve the effect.
