question on my dell printer

Am i %$#%$# cause i don't wanna pay the astronomicly high prices for a small amount of ink from the dell company. I could gladly go in if someone else in the area has a dell 720 printer and go together and buy bulk ink cartridges. I had gone to best buy today and they didn't have any comparable ones there. The girl said.. to buy another printer cause you can get an all in one for 100 bux. She said that you end up paying 70 bux for both ink cartridges. *rolls eyes* I thought i might try a lexmark cartridge and see if it would work. It fits, but its too tall for the top to close. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, liz

Dell printers are manufactured by HP (I think) and then modified so that they will use and only use Dell Ink Cartridges. I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but a suggestion is to ditch the ink printer and shell about about $300 or so dollars into a black and white laser. The toner cartridges are about $40-$80 and typically can print well over 3 to 4 thousand pages, and have a LOT better print quality. Inkjets are just too expensive when it comes down to the ink.
