So what's this I hear about a new alternative dance night on Fridays and Saturdays? Anyone have any information about it? I hear it's at the French Quarter, but I have no idea where that is.

It's behind where Toddy's used to be. They had an ad in the MP with a Myspace page as their website (lame). Unfortunately, there was no info and a blurry picture.
I heard Jen and Andy checked it out. Shadowdancer? Bone? Hrmmmmmmmmmmmm?????????

Bone and I checked it out around 1:30 on its opening night, so I'm not sure if it was a good representation for what they have settled into. For the club itself, it was a very nice club with reasonable drink prices ($4 for a rum and coke and $4 for a cranberry and vodka), although White Zin is the only wine on the menu. Cover charge for that night was $5. The Staff and the people that I met there were extremely nice. As for the music, most of what we heard was Top 40 (Gwen Stefani, Pussycat Dolls, etc.) with some souped up 80s (the mega-mix that a lot of the clubs play) and a little bit of "house type" music mixed in. It was very typical of what you hear in the Top 40 clubs already.

Yes it would appear that "alternative" refers to the sexual orientation of the patrons, not the style of the music.
Shadow Dancer pretty well summed up the music selection, at least during the time we were there.
Very nice club though!

alright! sounds like a perfect goff raid spot (or maybe it'd be a mini-raid, since it's in town.) to me; i mean, who on this board hasn't taken a shot in the mouth and listened to bad music for a bit of cheap liquid relaxation?

A group of us are planning to check the place out this Saturday. If anyone is interested in helping me celebrate my birthday (
