we intend to create the largest feedback loop atlanta has ever heard
we will do one older piece that we've played live in the past
and a new piece that has not been heard
which will segway to our experiment
our mixer will be plugged into the station's feed
we will then plug in portable radios
and tune them to station
using the broadcast itself to create a feedback loop
the brodcast itself will be another instrument in the action
this event will be webcast
please tune in at 10pm est tomorrow at wrek.org
and join us

the show will be archived for a little while on the wrek.org site
the experiment was a success
we created a 40k watt feedback loop
using the broadcast and the station itself as part of our instrumentation for our performance
check it out when you get a chance

That was really cool. I can imagine someone just flipping through the radio channels and running across that and going "WTF?" I've been pondering experimenting with using audio tape old school style as a source for noise layers. I think Bone has an old reel to reel I might be able to use. I'll post anything I do if I ever get around to it.

sounds kool
you should try doing cut ups with some tape reels
just cut randomly and splice back together
sometimes it can sound wanky
sometimes it can yield fantastic results
and thanks for listening
and for commenting

Yeah, that was kind of the plan. The intent is to get back to the roots edit and hopefully gain some inspiration.
