A Lost Soul in Knoxville
Hello Everyone,
I just moved to the area from Virgnia Beach and am lost. So far I have not seen much of a scene here so I am assuming I just have not hit the right parts of town. Any suggestions on the right record store and its location where I can find Project music, Metropolis music, and Dancing Ferret? How about live shows, do any gothic groups come to town, so far I can;t find any of my groups touring tennessee. Next questions is there anyone over 25 in the scene here> I am an older goth and so far I have only seen some teenagers atthe West Hills Mall. There has got to be more right? If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative,.

Salutations!
Well, I'm 32 & not the oldest member of the board, so yeah, we've got more than just young uns. Actually there are quite a few of the upper 20's & early 30's crowd around here (& older). I'm sure you'll find lots of folks close to your own age.
Places to go... that's pretty well covered in Upcoming Events section of the forum, but the biggest one is Sanctus. You just missed the last one, this past Sunday at Blue Cats in the Old City. We have it the 3rd Sunday of every month there.
We also gather every Friday at 11th Street coffee house for more informal socializing. That's the best place to start out. Come down & meet some of us this week if you get a chance. It's a good mix of ages & personalities.
You can also run into some of us at the Urban Bar (also in the Old City) & at various other places & events around town. As for music shopping, there's always Disc Exchange on Kingston Pike or Chapman Highway. If they don't have what you want, they'll order it for you.
Welcome aboard, & beware the Iblis links!
