2nd trailer is out now and looks a lot better than the first.Nakata is one of the best in the biz(interested to see what changes he makes for his American version)and good to see him do his thing more(even if it's for the 2nd time and in holywood).

Normally, I'm not too big on remakes. But The Ring was not bad. Each version, the American and the Japanese, had something going for it and against it. I found the Japanese version to be much more atmospeheric and spooky - I found the "psychic" connection to be convenient for exposition and schlocky. I thought the American version was very well made with a somewhat more cohesive story and better special effects, but I am a big believer in the less is more theory behind horror: What I imagined must be behind that long hair of Samita's was infinately more horrifying than what was revealed in the American version.

I have not seen the Japanese sequel and probably won't before this comes out. That's OK though. I'm looking forward to this!

was looking fwd to it til' today,had a friend who works for the bfca watch it and was very dissapointed........just have to see for myself(those "types" usually don't like that type of film),but another shining example of how holywood can ruin anyone....even Nakata.
