Does anyone know where or even if I can find patterns for goth clothing? I love to sew and want to make my own clothes, but, not having a lot of time to design or alter patterns, I'd like to find some patterns that are already leaning in that direction. Like strap skirts, corsets, etc.
If anyone knows of anything, let me know.
Thanks

Try your local fabric store such as Hancock's, JoAnn's, etc. Simplicity, Butterick and McCalls all have patterns that lean in that direction. Just look in the "Costumes" section of the pattern books. Most of the patterns are more period-type clothing with corset and skirt patterns, but they can be a start and be modified into something different.
If you want to see if the patterns are what you are looking for before you make the trip to the fabric store, you can browse the patterns at
See if you can locate a store (or maybe on line) for BURDA patterns. They are a German company. They DO have some cute patterens that could be adapted easily for a more gothic appeal. The sizing is slightly different than American, and don't get confused by the multilingual or metric stuff. Just cut off any pages of info. not in the language of your choice and you should do fine.
