ADVICE: how to un-Dell my new computer

Post by lucious »

I need some help, folks. Just bought a Dell PC and it's trying to turn me into a CONSUMER! It shot tentacles at me and is force-feeding me Christina Aguillera and bad corporate Rap music!

Can I just re-format the computer with a plain version of XP and say goodbye to Dell's evil magic? Or is it all the way in the Bios or something?

Any advice would be most appreciated, yo

Format the fucker.

As a former Dell employee, I think I can safely say that if you format the machine and put on a plain-jane copy of XP, you will be good to go.

Just make sure to get all your drivers and stuff from Dell's website first.
