Just from a Marketing(R&D) standpoint... What kind of bike would you really like to see produced? I'm looking for specifics, here...

500cc four-stroke single (think BSA Goldstar w/modern tech)
Modular construction
Ability to have multiple-configuartions using 4 different body "kits"
"classic" archetecture (sp?)
Ability to service/repair/customize due to simplicity of design...
Any thoughts?

lightweight is good
I think I'd want more cylinders - tends to be smoother... 500cc seems a bit small...
modular construction sounds intriguing.
"classic" isn't so interesting to me. of course, I read "classic" as "looks like another damn hardly ableson clone"...
serviceability is VERY good - it doesn't have to be a simple design, just easy to work on. And make it easy for anyone to talk to the computer, think about using bluetooth, and a downloadable, cross-platform (and by cross-platform, I mean Mac and Linux - fuck Windoze) diagnostic tool. sensors fail, they should be easily replaceable and inexpensive.
Digital instruments. I hate analog. maybe even the option of replacing discrete components with an LCD panel. iPod interface. GPS option. integrated radar detector option. (hey, you said modular...)
And put good mufflers on it.

as i have long legs, i personally prefer larger bikes. I am mostly into crotch rockets (yamaha and ducati) with a few exception. I like a few yamaha sport cruisers (vmax and the 1100XS).
For a custom bike, dual exhaust is a must. I just like the symmetry. I am also a huge fan of turbos as well as electronic ignition systems
something along the lines of a 700-800cc with a GT20 or maybe even a gt25 on a built engine.
(ok I admit it, i like the flame that shoots out of your exhaust when you set your boost cut to cut voltage to you sparkplugs).
shaft driven.
possibly some sort of adjustable rear end so you can set it for whatever kind of driving you are doing that day. say if you are going to a drag strip you could add some length and short if you want to take it up into the mountains.
I don't care much for full faring, So i like a frame that is very aesthetic in itself.
Making a HONDA fast is like coming out of the closet, yeah you might suprise a few people; but in the end.. your still gay.
