Some new photo-based stuff:
A soyuz capsule arriving at the USS Hornet in Alameda, CA using a fake tilt-shift technique to (try to) make it look like a miniature:
My daughter outside the Musee De Mechinque at Fisherman's Wharf using some more fake DOF techniques:
Both of them look a bit better at larger sizes, so click on 'em then click "All Sizes" above the photo.

Some New Stuff
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Somehow, I missed all the comments. I guess I was too busy beeing an ass in other threads.
First off... thanks
Second: There's more info on how the fake miniatures are mad on the Flickr page for the tea garden, along with some useful links. Also, you may try doing a Google search for "fake tilt-shift."
Specifically, these two were done using Photoshop CS. CS or Elements is probably your best bet, but most other general purpose photo manipulation programs can achieve the effect.
