OMG.

I can't imagine turning in a paper like that. I'd like to just see the look on the professors face while reading it.

You know, there are two sad things about this paper - the majority of the markdowns were given for language, not utter stupidity, and the paper still got a D-. It's not exactly a high grade, but it's still PASSING???

I think I'd have given it 10 points for being turned in, and another 5 for mentioning Oedipus at all. I might have even thrown in another 10 for showing enough understanding of the story to show it had been read, and another 5 for making me laugh. But that's it, and a 30 is still failing.

My urban legend detector is beeping, it just seems a bit overboard...Smart ass student hands in smart ass paper but the teacher still passes him because hell at least he's a little funny.

Providing it is read though, maybe he was given a passing grade because he was making an attempt at being creative. Some teachers count that toward something.

I hate that saying: "You can't have your cake and eat it too."

Because what's the point of having cake when you aren't able to savour and enjoy every tastey morsel it has to offer you.....
