At first I thought it was going to be a copy of Apple's touchscreen idea, then they placed the material on it. Having several of these in department stores would be a grand idea. Grab two brand names of the same item, place them on the computer table, and then pop instant comparison shopping and consumer reviews.

How long till we see the first palm reading machine based on the tech?

I'm sorry, this is a *direct* copy of Mac's idea. The only thing they have done is added some fancy interfacing with mobile devices. Woo.... hoo... probably still just as unstable, probably uses more resources than Vista, and more security holes.

because everybody loves banner ads so much, they want to see them when they set their drink down.

all in all, it's a neat concept. but i see so many ways it could be abused, that i dread the day when they become commonplace.

on a side note, it does kind of remind me of bumptop.
