7/28 Midsummers' Nightmare Ball w/ DJ Fallen Info

Post by The Fallen »

This is just a preliminary information blurb but I'll be spinning in Asheville NC on Sat July 28th with DJ Nareau for their dark faerie ball. Now Asheville is also holding a street festival that weekend so if anyone is planning on staying overnight booking a hotel ASAP would be a good idea. Parking also could be an issue but Nareau is looking into that. The venue, Joli Rouge, is on 130 College Street a few blocks S of I-240 for distance purposes.
The rest of the info as well as the flyer will be up in a week or so from Nareau. Just thought I'd start the ball rolling and get everyone up to speed. Looking forward to seeing as much of you all as I can to come out and enjoy Asheville's finest goth night.

I might have to beg a ride off of someone as my last ride fell through, I can pay both gas and hotel if need be. Msg me.

Hey why when I went to the invite it said the event was cancelled?

So it's still on? That would be nice, and a parking solution would be even nicer.

I'm glad you finally clarified what exactly was going on in Asheville that weekend. I had already been looking at hotels for that night, and they are pretty outrageous around that area.

Let me know what you find out about parking. From what I am reading about the festival itself, it seems that they are closing a lot of the streets around the area of the club to vehicle traffic for the event.

We found a cute little best Western for cheap last time we went, where I can't remember....ain't that helpful. I am still trying to find it. I am hoping that it is not so close as to suck on rates.

The deal with the event invite, is everytime I tried to invite people I got an error, piece of shit that myspace is, so I deleted the even and was gonna wait for Luke to post it, but apparently it went out. I'm beginning to hate myspace, can't post messages, bulletins, or what not without errors or some other shit going on.

The hotel for the last trip was apparently Holiday Inn on 42 Tunnel Rd with a triple-AAA rate about a mile from the club.

Ok so I booked a room at the Motel 6 also on Tunnel Rd. Well it ain't spectacular but its got a room a shower and a price that I can afford. I got it for 56$, that is the single rate with one bed. They have a great cancelation policy so if any weirdness happens between here and now one would have plenty of time to cut their losses.

If anyone finds any cheaper give me a heads up would ya? Oh yeah I booked it, well actually K- booked it for as I was driving at the time, through Orbitz.

Fallen, if you could keep us updated on the parking problem? But hey looks like I get to go dance my ass off to your golden spinning!

Through their website with the internet users rate, the Econo Lodge (about 5 miles from the club) is $116 per night including taxes. That's the best I had seen so far.

Thanks to everyone who braved the street festival to come down! We had a blast hosting DJ Fallen, and look forward to doing it again someday (when you can actually park within a mile of the club...)
