i'm sorry (maybe this belongs in the dumpster)

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

i'm sorry (maybe this belongs in the dumpster)

Post by rec|use »

for a good long while
i've come off as an arrogant bastard on this board

and i've never really meant to be that way

i just get really emotional about some things

music especially

but looking back i don't think that many of my actions on this msg board were ever really justified
they were just out of ego
and for that i apologize

i'm a pussy hair away from being 30 years old
and it's time for me to grow up
and start treating humans
like they should be treated
and how i'd like to be treated by them
(esp ones of like minds)

i've been a prick
and i know it

and again i'm sorry

and i hope that i can start over with all of you with a clean slate

over the past couple of years
i've met some of you in person
at random events in knoxville
and atlanta
and i feel ashamed of my actions when i meet you in person

i don't regret much in my life
but i do regret just being an asshole over meaningless shit

so with that
again i apologize
and i promise to make an effort to be more civil
and more of a positive member of this community
(all be it i live in atl, but was born and raised and frequent tn quite often)

i see the way things are going with this community
events ending
nights closing
being moved
etc
etc
and to be honest
i just want knoxville to hold out
and progress
and be on the cutting edge
and stay tight
because i love the city
i love tn
and i think that everyone that lives in tn
that maintains this culture
deserves it more than most anyone else in the united states
because you all have to dig for it
and i think you believe in it more than most scenes

so hang tight

and i'm sorry for being a dick

and if there is anything i can do to help support you guys
give the word
and it's yours

best,
travis morgan

ps
yes it sounds like a hippy post
but i mean it
i'd rather be your enemy than hear you call me friend

Thanks Travis.

You were always respected... but...

More so now...

Not that I speak for everyone...but...
Sure, I'll try to be nicer, if you try to be smarter.

dude
I've not realy known you from here ,so I'm not certain how rough you've been on people here , but I have recently seen a kinder and gentler travis on the UT boards

the hell man ...

I kinda enjoy the combustable version of you , even when it was directed at me

Best Post Ever.

When we started KG it was our intent to bring together people and hopefully end the phrase "Knoxville Sucks... there's nothing to do." I think we've been quite successful in that respect due in large part to the passion of the community to actually want to be a "community". We don't always all get along but I think that is superseded for the most part by our lust for our tribal style community.

Travis, I am glad to see you coming out of you shell. I haven't always agreed with you and your attitudes but I fully recognize you as a very talented and intelligent person. You and your music fill a much needed void. Keep it up and thanks for continuing to be part of the KG family.

Several people have been on me lately to actually get to work on our (Knoxville's) underground dance history. I have been very hesitant about this project because I feel under qualified but I think that everyone here deserves to have a reference pointing to how we got to this point in Knoxville and how we have influenced other scenes all around the country. I think the time has come.

Wow. I'm totally impressed.

Fresh slate granted with bonus points for humility & genuine concern for the bigger picture.

I enjoyed introducing myself to you in Atlanta as "the chick you've been arguing with on the internet for the past 2 years." Does this mean we can't argue anymore? :-(

But for real, thanks for being a real man and admitting you were kind of a jerk. None of the assholes around here have the balls to do that. ;)

What? I admit I'm a jerk. I'm just not going to stop.

oh, and rec|use, I thought I'd noticed you being nicer lately, and I haven't had to ban you in years.

Thank you.

i have to back 'vader on this one.

he's a real jerk.

kidding, of course, but i do have to say that i've seen a few people on here admit to being jerks/assholes/bastards/bitches/what-have-you.

which is really rather neat. i mean, if you're going to be a fucko, you might as well be an honest fucko. that way, it's not so bad when you take a semi-liquid dump in someone's corn flakes, or permanently dye someone's firstborn blue.
