80S NIGHT weekly starting July 4th/request thread

Post by X »

So, yeah, its 80s night, again. Of course at Ivey's starting around 9 ish.....Bone and I will be djing, and um, if you want good stuff, then request it.

I am also now considering myself a bounty hunter....want that infavorite 80s "staple" killed???? Offer good ole' X a plentiful bounty, and maybe we can add to the graveyard with 99 red balloons.

anyway, i guess you should leave your requests here, and show up. I also would like to add i will have fireworks to celebrate the 4th, so funk all that downtown crap.

Ok well the 3rd is my birthday.. and since I will be going to see the Violent Femmes looks like we get to celebrate my birthday at a night dedicated to the decade I was born!

Culture Club - Kharma Chamelion ( I cant spell I just woke up)
Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Michael Jackson - Beat It
Ramones - Sedated
Belly - Feed The Tree
Violent Femmes - American Music
May your dreams be the future you could have had, and your nightmares be the realization that you destroyed your chance to make it reality.

X, I trust your judgement.
Everything I've heard thus far has been lovely. Keep up the good work. I'm telling all the evil telemarketers to come out too.

...many of whom are parents...some of whom have a strong aversion to pediphiles, and any product thereof...

...or at least, that's why I never dance to Michael Jackson...that and not being a big fan, even then...

...of course, I also hate John Wayne and won't watch his movies because of his Un-American and cowardly actions during the McCarthy era, so there you go...

I look at MJ songs as bathroom break songs. Some people like 'em, but please don't be yanking my arm to get out on the dance floor to 'em.

Actually, please don't be yanking on my arm at all - sometimes I feel a little roughed up after 80s night, and Sanctus - rumble-hugs and arm-yanks...

...wanders off into sleepy nap land...

When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.
