ART FORUM: Sequential Artists' Guild
I'm not a sequential art person, but since there's so many of you out there - Jack, Adam Deal, and I think Seraph Antaine & Dark Elf, as well - maybe y'all should get together a work group or something.

Yeah. Some of us have talked about that before. I don't know if we can synchronise our indidvidual slackorythms to the tune of cooperation.

Well, get your butts in gear. Did you see Adam deal's Graphic Novel before he sent it off?
Better, have you been following what Dark Elf put him up to regarding Juxtaposition's not getting back to Adam on his book? That's hysterical and will make a great book in itself - if the FBI doesn't come after Adam first.

I got an e-mail from SciFiction regarding a newsletter about Graphic Novels that might be interesting:
WELCOME to SCIFICTION!
First off Jaime Hosticka out of our Cleveland store has a new newsletter he+s been sending out on Graphic Novels. I turn the floor over to him.
Whether you call it sequential art, graphic novels, or comix, the art form is in a renaissance and is rapidly achieving more and greater acclaim. Beyond just hero books, the graphic novel is enjoying new and expanded audiences and is breaking ground in the areas of adult fiction and non-fiction alike. Recently the film version of the famous underground comix "American Splendor" took top honors at both Sundance and Cannes. Writers from Nick Hornby to David Sedaris have been pitching their favorite graphic novels for years now. There are so many fresh, new author/artists and a consistently growing group of women graphic novelists - and they're all producing lush, mature, and diverse works of art that you shouldn't be missing out on. If you are interested in getting more information, updates, and discussion about different titles and artists, please send an email to jhosticka@josephbeth.com with the words "graphic novels" in the subject heading.

You first.
Eh, you know I think your work rocks. The slackorythms thing was kind of a joke/jab, as was the cue for pshawing. I really do wish that it was only slackerism holding me back, but the truth is, I have to try to work my dream-projects into the framework of a very full life. No idle, subsidized, class-cutting dilettante here.
