you ask any guy in the 18 - 25 year old range if they think they're "mature" in the ways of relationships.. and I'm betting the majority will say yes.

you ask any of those guys when they're in the 30-35 year old range.. and I bet the majority of them will tell you that looking back, they don't think they were at all.

obviously, that's not everyone and there are always exceptions.

I'd bet the same is true if you asked again at 40-45.. *shrug* I'll let you know when I get there :p

Speaking as someone who is getting there (closer to 40 than to 30...Shudder): I don't think I really hit maturity until I was about 28, maybe 30. It took the army to really smack a lot of the stupid out of me. Even after college (when I thought I was quite mature mind you), I was still doing astoundingly stupid things on a normal basis.

That doesn't mean I was a shithead. Don't mistake immaturity for a lack of decency. You mature through experience and learning, but rather or not you are a decent person has nothing to do with it. I've known many mature jerks. If you meet a nice guy your age, and he is still a little childish and immature, don't be overly critical. He'll get there. The question is, is he / she a good person?

You know lemme clear this up.....there are a lot of very nice guys on this board......the asshole that was INDECENT led her along, flirted had a girlfriend....siad they were breaking up, got her hopes up, then took his girlfriend back even though she came home with dick on her breath....now I dont know about youbut thats PRETTY BAD. He's a shit head and I see all you nice guys trying to defend your merits....you are wonderful, and you have been acknowledged......

so I guess the real question here is are there any guys that fit er criteria, AND dont do the above......

there are plenty of nice guys out there.... you just have to search real, real, real, hard... and look in ditches, overpasses, local thrift stores, and shows. :lol:

and personally i will suggest dating a punk rocker.... it worked for me. he is a tipical guy, but he does have his good points... however if you ever met him, you would think he was a real jerk off... i sure did.

Have you tried using a better browser? like mozilla? It's got a nifty lil popup blocker built in.
