The Feast of Fools

Post by Fink »

So who all is coming to Fete du Fous?
When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.

I was going to but am spending the evening with my baby sister. She's only 4 and wants to stay with her big sissy after trick-or-treating....I just couldn't say no. Sorry. Have enough fun for me too.

Debatable.

A little bit pricey.
Sure, I'll try to be nicer, if you try to be smarter.

I may come with Mr.Crow in tow. I am going to another party to attempt to win some cash in a costume contest first.

I went. It was quite impressive for what little I got to see. I am disappointed in the sliding scale of pricing though. We got there at 8:45 and still paid $12 when others only paid $6 for the entire evening. I was under the impression from reading Zeo's comment that if we got there BEFORE 9, it was $6 for all night access. It was even more frustrating due to the fact that we couldn't stay very late because of morning work schedules.

All that aside, the artwork was beautiful. The spoken word poetry was fantastic and the music was good, but I'd think twice about doing it again.

It was rather expensive, but with a date like Ms. Monroe, how could I refuse?

I did have a good time though. :) And I'll never look at Halloween costumes in the same light again. There were some *really* nice ones.

Maybe I can reappear in another 6 months.

Well I've gotta be impressed with how Fairbanks turned out. Very classy venue with an excleeent sound system as Micheal deomonstrated to me. Wonderful consutems expecially Evil Fairy from sleeping beauty, Jack Skelleton, Edward Sciissorhands, and grey demon thingy.

The only catch in the evening was the confusion over the door entry. I payed six bucks for the whole night but some people who came in before nine had to pay twelve. There was a rumor running about that if you planned on staying till six you had to pay a twelve.

Other then that everthing was great.

Oh and I was the last dancer standing

I'm sorry I missed it! I had an asthma attack on the way from the other party and ended up at home. I plan to make up for it this evening though :-(

I wanted to go, but couldn't afford it and the Sunday night thing. Bleh.

I'll be at the Dance of the Undead, though. :D

I was one of those who payed the $12, But it was kind of worth it. Of course $6 would have been better. CD you are Hardcore staying till 6am. I almost stayed but I had to get some sleep. Think I went home at 5:30am. It was fun. Eye of the Tiger.. :boing:
