Well, seeing as Limbaugh is essentially horseshit (not to be confused with

First things first, this isn't against the people who buy emo music...just the people who make it, & the people who support it. As a lyricist, I can write some pretty emotional shit, sappy at times, but if I could write an entire album about it, I think I would off myself before I got done. If you have that much sorrow in your life to bitch about it for over 60 minutes, you have a good enough reason to die (not that I support suicide, but I do condone the filtering of the gene-pool). I'm not a punk, but even I get offended at the references of emo as punk-rock. Fuck that!!! That's like saying Garbage is goth. Not even close. As for Davey Havok...well, putting on eyeliner & black doesn't make you anymore goth, as putting on FUBU & Timberlands would make you a black. Lets face it though, people have been so tunnel-visioned into a mass-marketing frenzy, that I could probably give Balzac out as Emo, & little pop-star-punks would swallow it down with their Pepsi & MTV. Americanized music is fucked. Anyone with a new musical style is fucked. Scarling. is the only band out right now that I know of that is willing to take their chances, & have actually made a name for themselves. Sorry for the rant...just wanted to fly my flag in the anti-emo parade. Thanx for the time.

scarling... like the band that spawned that better than i scarling, but im a cranky old fart in that regard...

Just a quick note as to how bands make it onto the KG Bands Page...

There are two ways to get on the page:

•Be played at a KG event. Bands from the playlists are added to the list as I put up the playlists.

•Submissions to the list. I check that the link sent to me works and appears to be a band page - I do not make content judgements, under the theory that if a band (or a KG user) think that the Knoxville goth scene would find the band interesting, I'll provide the link.
