For the Captain

Post by shadow dancer »

Okay, maybe its too late, or I just haven't gotten enough sleep lately. I've started reading a book called Under the Black Flag (a historical account of the lives of pirates). The first two sentences made me giggle with the irony.

"Pirates have always been elusive figures. They came out of the blue."

But all hilarity aside, that book kicks ass and is a good primer into the culture/subculture pirates created on their ships.... :woot:

I actually own this book....wonderful and insightful.
“That proves you are unusual, returned the Scarecrow; and I am convinced the only people worthy of consideration in this world are the unusual ones. For the common folks are like the leaves of a tree, and live and die unnoticed.â€
