prince of persia is really nice too.
but thats a different genre of games.

my wife, nan, enjoys gta3 & vice city too

maybe this belongs in goth geek?

The GTA3 series rocks!
I can hardly wait for GTA4!!!!

I cannot recomend True Crime:Streets of LA at all though. I can say stay far away from it.

Yes, although I've heard rumor that it'll be for the PS3. They're doing another GTA3 spin-off for the PS2, that's certain. However as far as I've been able to ascertain, they're wanting to go a few steps further with GTA4, and the PS2 hardware won't allow them to do this.
