I remember all that stuff. From the first time around. I think all this came up on the old board. If I remember right I asked if anyone remembered Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. They were on Kroft Superstars along with Puffinstuff and Harry and the Seamonster.

Those were some tripped out shows, The Kroft's.

As for fraggle rock and the other 80s stuff, I remember that too. And Aurora and I watch Fraggle Rock everyday. She loves it.

I think anyone who was born between 65 and 75, just got completely saturated with pop culture. I think it's very telling that so many of our nostalgic runs are about TV shows and toys. We were the first generation to just be beat over the head with consumerism at every turn.

Mention Tobor, Big Trac, Thundercats, the 2600, Battlestar Galactica, Schoolhouse Rock, and, of course, Star Wars to any guy who was born in that 10 year span and you can see them mentally spiral backwards through time to sitting on the floor in their tighty whities (or quite possibly underoos) on Saturday morning cramming their face full of Count Chocula until they achieved a kind of sugar induced nirvana (or acid trip if you were watching Kroft's)

Wanna see a grown man turn into the epitome of the Peter Pan Syndrome? Say to him, "So did you ever watch Johnny Quest when you were growing up?"
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Yes, but his legacy still lives on. :woot:
