I thought for a minute there you were telling all of us that just pixie was going to be in Atlanta.
Since I HATE Bowie so much that I'm already planning on going to the DC show , I may look at going to the Atlanta show as well.
The show at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans would probably be one of the best though. Wonder if he's planning on bringing any local residents up on stage with him for that show? hmmm

Thanks for posting that setlist! I can't wait for this show! I've got peeps( ) in 'Lanta! Didn't Bowie do a tour about 10 years ago where he was playing all of his old stuff and that was supposed to be it - only new music from that point on? Don't get me wrong, I'm ecstatic about hearing all of this classic Bowie - as long as it is not the same weekend as Neaubauten. That would be horrible!

I remember something like that too. My guess is he found out rather fast that not playing your old hits because your tired of them = low concert energy, and leads to older fans feeling alienated, which leads to poor concert turnouts, and low new record sales.
When your someone who's career has spaned multiple decades and generations you gotta make all those fans happy if you want to keep em. I for one would not be very interested to go see Bowie ONLY perform music from his last 3 or 4 albums... But then again my fav Bowie stuff is almost all pre 85

I wasn't too thrilled when Bowie stated that he wasn't playing anything older than 90 in his live shows about ten years ago. That was also stated right after Earthling came out. He retracted that comment after the multitude of his fans were complaining. I will have to say that the song, from his last show that I saw, that got the biggest reaction was I'm Afraid of Americans, which somewhat surprised me. He started out by saying, "I'm going to do an old one now. (laugh) It came out in the mid 90s and had something to do with Americans." The crowd went nuts after that.
I will have to say that I love hearing him do his "Ziggy Stardust era music" live. His vocals are so much stronger now, and it makes a huge difference for songs like Life on Mars?. His performances only seem to get better with age. My personal opinion is that his music is better live than it ever has been on cd, and his stage presence is phenomenal.
And the show is not the same weekend as Neaubauten; it is the weekend before it. The Neaubauten show is the same weekend as Bowie's show in DC.
