Post by Bone »

Amphigory presents Carnival
a night of artistic display, with a flair of Carnival!

Saturday Feb 21st-
7:30pm Sidewalk Parade in the Old City (open to all!)
8:30pm Performances at Urban Cafe

Spoken Word,
Performance Art,
Music, Dance
Visual Art

Costumes are appropriate, and encouraged!!!

I know it's short notice but I just got the info from our esteemed poet James. However, this should be an intresting night! Wear out you wildest and/or wierdest stuff and come support/ check out some of Knoxville's Underground Art Movement!!!

don't know if Urban has an age limit or not.
All I can say for sure is, no cover to get in to Urban.
This is not an event that I or KG has anything to do with. I was told about it by James and offered to post it for him as he has limited chance/ability to get on the board.

Ah, ok. Well I haven't been carded in Urban, but then again I'm not a 5 year old child.

Thanks for clearing that up Bone

Carnival!

Post by Scorptrio »

This street carnival sounds intriguing. A good excuse to hit the city in the early evening. If enough of us meet up down there, we can figure out where to dance/drink the night away. Urban might be the ultimate destination, though I've got the dancing bug again and may not want to wait until Chimera Sunday at the EB to stomp the floor.

Dang I would love to go, but that would mean I would have my mini me, and no car, so I guess I am stuck. *pout*

Sounds like fun. And since my mini me is taller than me, I can bring her! :D

Oh, unless she's otherwise occupied with young gentlemen callers. That is sometimes the case on Saturday evenings. ;)

for those interested in participating in the parade, I believe it will start from down at the corner where don's costume shop is. (If I am remembering what James told me is correct)

Undecided

Post by Scorptrio »

I want to go to this, but I'm thinking parking will be difficult. I could always park at Fort kid and get my excercise by walking down to the Old City....

Now where did I put my purple shirt with the sparkly buttons?

Too late...

Post by Scorptrio »

Ok, count me out of this one. It's too late in the day to get ready to go out, only to fight for parking. I would have loved the people-watching. Oh, well. I'll see some of you at the EB tomorrow to stomp on the floor.

I got busy with domestic duties. Maybe I'll come down to Urban Bar & see what's still happening. Diddimus & Mike were planning on going to Hannah's. Who else is going out tonight?
