DJ Arkady on KFAR 90.9FM Monday @ 6pm

I got a prime slot.

Monday from 6pm to 7pm and

I know some of you can't get it where you live but you can dial it in as a ShoutCast stream where you click on the Tune In button.
If that doesn't work, open Winamp, type Ctrl+L (or select Play, Location), and enter "http://68.84.91.2:8000"

I have decided to not stick with a standard format and plan on having as much fun with this as I can. You can expect to hear the cream of my collection and while it will contain Goth/Industrial it will also have Jazz, trip-hop, vintage stuff, and what ever else I might pull out of my ass. I do have a shit load of cool records and such as well. I also plan on trying to do some interviews with bands we all like as well as getting my politics on.

We do broadcast online. See Arkady's original post for instructions, then go to http://www.kfar.org. Arkady and I are both on the air on Mondays and Wednesdays, so those are the days to be listening. I'm on from 1:00-4:00-ish and Arkady takes over the booth at 6:00.

Well, the Wednesday slot is up in the air. Aparently, the DJ before me has been failing to pay his dues but pitched a big fit when I took the slot.

So, if you could, please call the station and request that they keep me on the air wednesdays from 6 to 8. I don't know if it will help but it's worth a shot.

577-7955 is the station Number.

Effing idiots! I friggin' hate politics and drama. I know it's a pirate station and all, but I still think they could be handlin' this with a bit more professionalism and a bit less bleedin' sentimentality. Sheesh! Sorry about the brouhaha, Arkady...

ok...we're listening to the wednesday guy right now. he is a flipping idiot.

think if i astand ouside the station and chant "arkady" really loud, they brig you back? of course, it may be more effective if i had a tin cup a jail cell (attica)...

Yeah, he's definately no Arkady. And I think your description of him pretty well sums up the opinion of the majority of the folks at the station. It's a long and horribly convoluted story, not one that's appropriate to enter into in this forum. Suffice it to say, I'm looking for some new time slots for Arkady. He needs more than an hour a week. I won't be happy until he has at least four.
But hey, let the station know. Make your voice heard. Might help, ya never know.
I'm on the air Wednesdays, from 1:00-4:00 and The Lemon Drop Kid follows me at 4:00 and keeps going until 6:00. I think we both do a decent job (there are a few who would vehemently disagree)and that Arkady would fit beautifully into that 6:00 time slot. But hey, time will tell. If not that slot, then by hook or by crook, we'll get him another one. Until then, keep listening...
