anyone know anything about gardening? tips, advice, suggestions.
i bought some flower bulbs, lots of lilies and gladiolus. i want to make the yard pretty, but i unfortunately don't know that much about flowers, besides the basic watering everyday, sunlight, no weeds in the bed, type of stuff.
the bulbs said to plant them in march/april and they should bloom around june. also, sunlight/partial shade. i'm not really sure what that means, but i assume they need to be in a sunny area. i was going to put them in the front yard because its always sunny there. i wanted to put them in the back, but that flower bed rarely sees the sun. the dogs would prolly dig them up anyways. i'll see if i can find some lowlight plants to put back there. are there any lowlight flowers? anything besides ivy, thats whats back there now.
as anyone can see, i'm very new to this. heather knows a little, but any help would be greatly appreciated. i have never done this before, prolly should have started of with pansies or mums or something like that. i think lilies are more high maintenence, but they are my favorite. i think i can do it. if i can take care or 2 dogs and 2 puppies( without and deaths or serious injuries), deliver 2 liters, and perform some vet procedures at home. SURELY, i can manage to grow pretty flowers.
