KnoxGothic Radio Beta (Offline!!!)

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

KnoxGothic Radio Beta (Offline!!!)

Post by Arkady »

If you have winamp you can listen to the beta version of the KnoxGothic Shoutcast server.

the address is 66.191.251.144:8000

To access it using winamp press ctrl + L and paste the address in.

To access using Windows Media Player
Click File then Open URL then paste http://66.191.251.144:8000

I need to know if you can connect and how it sounds to you.

if you need the plugin to listen to a shoutcast stream go HERE

Also, there is info for NIX users and Mac users at that address.

If you're using a Mac, this url should open it in iTunes for you:
http://66.191.251.144:8000/listen.pls

or you can try the name: http://radio.knoxgothic.com:8000/listen.pls

Let me know how it does for you.

It seems like there is some packet loss going on. Some of the songs seem to skip like the information of the next split second isn't there.

Since I'm still at work, we have a huge incoming connection. So, I know that the loss is not happened on my end. Just thought I'd let you know.

Sweet! Great idea!
I am having some break up here. I am using ITunes to listen to it though.
I don't know if it is buffering problems or what. I know I'm running it through a G5 with a comcast account. If anyone can explain the break up to me....Please do.
Yes, I have wished you were dead. You are just another face in the crowd, someone who brings me suffering, someone I truely hate.

It may be on the server end. Like I said this is a Beta Test.

If you all could describe any issues you run into on this thread, I'll try to address them.

I'm using Windows media player. First it said the protocol was unknown. I messed with network settings, put http:// in front of it, and now it says it's too busy. *sigh* It won't work on real player.

Ok, well it's about 15 after 12 am and I have been broadcasting for several hours. I'm going to let it keep going all night and see if it's still up in the morning.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in and chatted with me for the past few hours!

If this all works out like I hope it will, we could start simulcasting Sanctus at some point.

Feel dumb here...I get "Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does not exist at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is offline." any help to fix it?

Think you could play some of my Synthetik FM stuff? :) That'd be GREAT.

Sounds good. Clarity is a little off, but that may be my sound card.

Still going strong at 9:49 CST (10:49 EST). With work's bandwidth, there are no connection problems.

Awesome! Great idea!
