An Open Letter to Our Luverly Troll(s)

This is directed to no one person. I’ve seen several people that it may apply to though, which made me want to ask a question...

I am just curious. Which is more pathetic:
1) Belonging to a group that is full of material to make fun of OR
2) Not being a part of anything and hanging around to make tired jokes and feel superior?

It's a tough question to be sure. Lets see...

1) The Scene. The group being targeted would appear to be pretty laughable to someone looking in. There is music you don't get, people dressed in ways you find amusing, people that don't respect your opinions (I wonder why), people glorifying in a sense of their own self importance...But when you look at it from the inside, you see that this group is nonexistent. We have family, careers, go to school, support our causes and denounce the things that bother us. Everyone on this site has his or her own lives, concerns, friends, and acquaintances that have nothing at all to do with gothic music, dress, or anything else. We do have this one particular aspect of our lives that we enjoy in common however, and it is nice to have a place (this site) to converse about those issues and others, as well as a chance to get together and have fun(Sanctus). People are accepted and encouraged to do what makes them feel good. You know, that doesn't sound pathetic at all. That sounds like people actually enjoying life and each other. Huh. Go figure.

2) The Superior Outsider. Being above everything has made you omnipotent. Surely you rival god in your supreme self-confidence. You must be awfully proud because you sling around your views as though they are the only ones that matter, quote old ideas as though they are your own, look down on others and shake your head in pity even as you insult them. Sounds pretty good. Yes, everyone BUT YOU is a pathetic loser following a path to ruin. But, I wonder...What is your purpose for posting your thoughts here, in this forum? I mean, I know why I do, why most of us do. It is because we are involved in friendly discussion and like to hear what others have to say and voice our opinions. But why do you? You get nothing but negative attention and piss people off. Wouldn't you rather carry on conversations with your friends? Oh, wait, now I see... Carry on. I've answered my own question.

Well said. I think it's important for others to realize that what we do and our social group is just a different version of more traditional cultures.

Your average goth person enjoys fashion, music, camaraderie, etc

Your average golfer cares about fashion just as much! Every golfer on the course has stared at a mirror as long as any goth. Every sub-culture has their fashion trends. That very same golfer enjoys the scenery of a golf course much in the same way we goths enjoy music. The music makes us feel a certain way, it draws out emotions. It takes us to the same level of comfort a golfer may experience on his favorite course. Needless to say country clubs are basically another version of what we have in gothic clubs.

If only every outsider realized this, there would be no trolling/harsh critisism. You can't really make fun of our culture without making fun of yourself and your basic human desires!

In short, primogen = founder or one of a core group that is in tight with the founder.

I think it's time to do some IP address compairing on my end.

I would remind folks that actions are taken if there are actual complaints.

I would have dropped it, but I just received a private message and I'm sure it won't be the first...

Sorry, some of us belong to a sooper sekret society. We dress in black and eat babies under the full moon. We aren't in competition with KG like some tend to believe. A lot of us are active KG members and have supported Sanctus and KG from the beginning and continue to do so....Some of us just got sick of trolls and idiots...

I shouldn't have even mentioned it, because I'm sure some asshats will come out and trash this other forum since they have nothing better to do. However, many of those you know and love belong to the group. In this post, me, Arkady and Onibubba are members. There were close to 40 originally chosen primogen. We choose who is invited, I think our membership is near 70. Those invited get voted upon by the other primogen.

And no, I won't invite you....

I've invited a couple people whose behavior disappointed me, so I've banned myself from inviting for a long time, since their behavior reflects on me, and as a primogen, I am trusted not to bring fucktards around my close and most respected fiends (not a typo).

Anyways, all the trolls want is some attention, so why don't you just stop paying them any and they'll eventually go away. It gets real boring when there's no drama to be had...so be the better person and just don't give a fuck.
