Also, some of the other movies you mentioned that are at least in the preproduction phases: Ghost Rider, Pet Semetery remake (not III), and Dead Reckoning, god willing (on the commentary track to the DOTD DVD Romero says that things are looking up, thanks largely to the remake).
I'm really hoping for a few books to get done right:
1) A new version of Watership Down (Pixar? Hellooooo?)
2) A proper version of A Prayer for Owen Meany - The makers of Simon Birch have a special circle of Hell reserved for them.
3) Confederacy of Dunces. Heard several months ago that Will Ferrell was attached to this project, but have heard nothing since.
4) Watchmen if at all possible. Word is that the new script is ok, but it is a shame that Terry Gilliam could not get the budget he wanted to do this right.

I wanna see a Lobo movie.
Yes, I have wished you were dead. You are just another face in the crowd, someone who brings me suffering, someone I truely hate.

A live action Eva movie is in development right now. It's being written by one of the cofounder's of ADV. This is supposed to be a big budget movie and they are attempting to make look as realistic as possible. So it maybe good. at least for their sake's it better.

...probably impossible to do, but if it could be, OMG...
*shudders* that was one of the biggest yawns in erotic fiction i've ever run across....
I'd prefer a good rendition of the Story of O (if it hasn't been done already).
I have to agree with the fallen on one thing definitely..."a decent fantasy movie with a plot!!!". Though really this needs to be expanded to a "decent movie with a plot".
Also have to agree on the need for a good mech movie. Oh well, one can dream....

And so you shall! New Line has this baby, and they will no doubt deliver an outstanding adaptation. This is only in preproduction with no casting announcements and no finished script, so I would guess it is a target for 2006? Disney is ahead of the curve with its re-envisioning of the Narnia books, and I am sure that the future of the Dark Materials books will depend largely on how well that series is received. Personally, I prefer the Dark Materials cycle to the Narnia cycle, probably more because of its religious stance.

OH YESSSSSS! The Main Man!!!!!
but who could play him and do the man Justice?????
I would also like to see at least a screen adaptation of a William Gibson novel (NOT ONE OF HIS SHORT STORIES! like Johnny Neumonic) However due to Gibsons writing style, a TV mini series might work out better rather than try and cram a whole novel into 2 hours.
Watchmen would kick ass if Gilliam was doing it with a proper budget.
What I dont want to see...
1-More remakes of good movies - leave it alone and make NEW movies
2-Crappy sequals - Just because the first film was a hit diesn't mean that the following films have low budgets and will just ride on the first films coat tails. Prime example - Queen of the Damned. That piece of crap should have never been made

I agree that it was not one of Anne Rice's best pieces and it did get repetitive at times. However it would be interesting to see what level it could be taken to movie-wise.
The Story of O has been made into a movie but it wasn't done too well. I would like to see it remade as well.
