Why are some people so ugly?

And why do some people have very low morals?

I guess that's two different topics though so we'll just stick to the 'why are some people so ugly' thing.

I mean, and I DO mean, that some people just aren't cute. At all. And some are just really plain looking. The plain looking ones can actually be fixed up to look nice or decent or however you'd like to put it. But then there are those that are just UGLY. And by ugly I mean nothing that you could do to them could make them any less ugly.

I find that some people who have, say, an ugly smile have very nice eyes. Or some might have ugly eyes yet have a very pretty smile. Some might have a huge nose yet still be cute. Then there are yet those who are just UGLY.

Why? Why are some people cursed with being so ugly?

I'm not saying that ugly people aren't worth knowing, because a lot of times the real ugly people have awesome personalities. I have encountered a couple ugly people here and there that personalities SUCK just as much as their looks. Now that's just sad and uncalled for, but whatever I guess.

I'm starting to understand the meaning of fugly. You guys remember that word? I've been seeing more and more fuglies out there these days.

In conclusion, is it wrong of me to not want to hang out with someone, awesome personality or not, just 'cause they're dam* ugly?

I'm not trying to be funny. I'm really looking for opinions.

For me it is a combination of looks and personality that draws me to someone I guess that I weight personality higher than looks becaus someone can look good but you still can't stand to be around them because of their personality. Is it wrong no I wouldn't say it was wrong ....unfair maybe but not wrong

Ugly is always in the eye of the beholder...one says another is ugly, 5 others think they are beautiful. I have never come across a truely ugly person. In my opinion everyone has atleast a couple of redeeming qualities.

In my opinion people who leave comments like this one must be ugly. I am sorry if I offended you. I never meant to. I will respect your opinion but I think it's only fair that you also respect mine. I think a person has every right in the world to not want to hang out with someone that they think is ugly. If you truthfully thought somone was THAT ugly, would you seriously, and please answer this honestly if you're going to answer at all, would you HONESTLY want to hang out with them? Because I believe the majority of people would not. If I were their best friend from really little and they grew up to be ugly and I suddenly stopped wanting to hang out with them because of it, then I'd see the problem. But if I personally am not comfortable hanging around someone who I think is real ugly, and there is no emotional connection, does that really make my mind set ugly?

And really, it is faces that make people ugly. I understand personalities can also. I do completely agree. But I am only asking a question. I understand that people have different taste. What I might find ugly, someone else would not. Thank you for your opinion. But I'm still strongly leaning toward not wanting to hang out with people who are really THAT ugly. I think the people a person hangs out with should reflect how they want others to view them. If you'd like to debate this, feel free to. Maybe I'm thinking wrong with that. Maybe people DO NOT judge people by who they seem to want to associate with.

If you really wanted to help me with this, you could have just said "No, I do not find it right" instead of degrading me for asking. That I find to be quite ugly.

So here is the cliffs notes version. People will be shit whether they are pretty or ugly.......seperating people into these two categories without further evaluating what kinda person they are leaves you open to some dangerous people.

I made a comment during a show I attended one time a coupla years ago in Atlanta that I regret to this day. The comment flew outta my mouth before I eventhougth about what I had said, but that doesnt make it any better. The comment was something along the lines of me questioning why a few individuals would consider themselves attractive enought o get on stage and do whatever.

The friend that I was with was horrified, and told me how those people were baring their soul doing what they were doing on stage . They lived the live they were performing for us, in their everyday lives. The fact that they had enough courage to come forward and play this intimate part of their lives out for us was just beautiful. I was very ashamed. I am still ashamed that I ever had that thought. I know those people and see them often, and they are the kindest, friendliest people, and for a second I cast them down, becasue they weren't aesthetically pleasing.

On the other side of that coin, I came to a point in my life a while back where I was accepted and befriended many of the "pretty" or cool people.......they all talked about eachother, stabbed eachother in the back, screwed eachother's boyfriends......OUT OF SPITE! Stole, lied, cheated, got in trouble with the law, sqandered their lives and talents away,rinse, wash, repeat........their behavior was ugly, and even uglier that they were all friends and did it to eachother even me. Some of those people, I dont even speak their names in public.

But some came out ok, and they are still my friends.
Maybe you should adopt a higher moral standard for choosing your friends. Dull personalities...I understand.....but they might be there to learn from YOU too.

So to answer your question WHy are people so ugly? I dont know, but I have found that negative quaities in a personality have a LOT to do with it. But that takes time. Why do people have low morals? I dont know that either....probably their upbringing, and if not that then the path or aquaintences they have chosen. Maybe you should consider more important reasons and disqualifiers for friendship, like if this person will respect you and your beliefs (whatever they may be) and respect your other friends. Would this person potentially cause social circle destroying drama? or would work to preserve the friendships no matter how they aquired them. Will this person fullfill your basic needs in a relationship of trust, affection, and support? Or will the friendship be onesided, being only what you can do for that person? Is your presense or consorting with sadi person a pro or a con. Meaning (and although your mother said it, she is right) Is hanging out or befriending a person going to get you in some trouble, or change the way people percieve you, becasue of their behavior. (And its true, people do judge you by who you hang out and associate with). Sounds high school, but even in the real world of jobs and careers, dropping a name isnt always a good thing if people arent upstanding individuals in this community or others in general.

I am not posting this for Hallmark sympathy or to make myself look Lilly white......I have socially questionable lifestyle interests. That doesnt make me morally wrong, or a bad person. the way i treat others makes me, ugly or cute. Socially questionable interests just make me the weird girl at work.

i think ugly is what you see on mtv, what my friends think is beauty, tiny little tan waists, and blonde spiral curls. I also think ugly is toothless nastiness, but i always see these types of people in groups together...usually an older male and female and about 17 kids....so apparently someone found them attractive.

Morals, eh, i have a conscious....(and i KNOW i spelled that wrong) i don't steal from people i like, and i always tell the truth (even when i lie)

debates like this are the reason Howard Stern is being treated like jesus right now.......and the reason you always see one type of person selling things on tv.

because someone at some point said this is the way it should be....and this is how you should feel, and this is how you will react, and so on and so on.

To attack someone because they say that you are stupid for thinking these things, is well retarded, for an opinion for them to disagree with was never really stated.

How about think with a free will, and don't question how the human brain works....you'll be much better off.
