Finally, the anticipated 3rd studio album from Slipknot, "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses", hits stores on May 25. Fuck yes!!!! I am either gonna be at Disc Exchange midnite sale, and if they don't do that, I will be out there bright n' early in the morning. I am dying to hear the album that is supposed to be "the Bible" for Slipknot. I love 'em! Just thinking about it gets me pumped. The first album is on my top 10 alltime list, and IOWA was awesome but not as good as the first. But my intuition says this album will slay the competition and end up being the best album of 2004, up there with the new NIN. And both are produced by Rick Rubin, so it should be interesting to see the results.

(tumbleweeds)......Damn. I actually expected a more enthusiastic response, and instead everyone is speechless. Not a word......not even a response like, "Slipknot sucks" or "Cool, can't wait". Wow......ah well, fuck it all! Don't ever judge me! :twisted:

Personally, by the title I had no clue it was about slipknot. Nor did I know your "calling all maggots" was about slipknot either.

I am completely in love with this new Slipknot album....from the lazy lounge rock sound of track one to the blistering sounds of track 2, I lost all thought and words, and track 6? Circle? Holy shit.....this band is finally showing their truest potential. But the track that really got to me was 11...Vermilion pt. 2. A love ballad!!! And it is a great song, just the fact of WHO it is! Pulse of the Maggots is a kickass track, as well as the heavy/soft melodic song The Nameless. So much diversity throughout the entire album all the way to track 14, which is another melodic drone that lulled me into a stupor..... I loved the first album. The second,IOWA, was great as well, but not the first....but...THIS album.....it is another album entirely on its own and is quickly becoming my overall favorite Slipknot CD, and that is coming from a maggot. And it most definitely wins my vote for album of the year. Oh yeah, and the most shocking thing of all....there isn't any language to give it an advisory sticker! Just words from an extremely intelligent mind. And Jim Root has gotten a lot better on the guitar..(sweeping arpagios and tricky shit).....So check this album out, even if you aren't a fan of their old stuff. You may be surprised......I know I was, but hey, I'm a fucking maggot.
