Mesh shirts?

Post by shadow dancer »

Many years ago, I acquired a couple of black sheer mesh, long-sleeve (fitted) shirts that had thumbholes from Hot Topic. They were made by a company called Monster. Had I realized how much I would wear these under corsets, dresses, etc., I would have picked up many more of them. As is typical with mesh, they are starting to get holes in them from snagging them on everything from wooden banisters to fingernails. I have been trying to find other ones like them for quite a while now without having to order them from overseas. Hot Topic still carries the fishnet version of these shirts, but they quit carrying the mesh ones years ago. The fishnet ones just don't work as well for what I wear them with, but that seems to be all I can find. I ordered one from Leg Avenue a while back, but the sleeves were too short once it was hand-washed. Has anybody seen anything like these out there anywhere?

Thanks for looking, sweetie; I appreciate it. I'm really hoping to find one that is just black mesh with no design on it.

I got one from goodgoth.com about a year ago. It has thumb holes. It's held up really good, no runs or holes at all. I'm not sure if it was fishnet or mesh though...the difference confuses me.

edit: This is the exact one: http://www.goodgoth.com/8304.htm

There are quite a few fishnet/mesh/random stuff with holes in it things at "Rave" in Knoxville Center. And they're having a pretty good sale right now. Good luck

Thanks for your replies Vachy, dragon_gurl and George. :)

dragon_gurl, that site has one that looks like it could actually be mesh rather than fishnet, and a lot of times descriptions can be deceiving based on what someone perceives is fishnet. (I've ordered a couple of others in the past that I thought looked like mesh, but they arrived as fishnet.) I will probably try to contact them and find out. Then, we'll see how long it takes to get here since its on backorder.

Thanks, I may have to go check those out. I am still going to continue looking for the long sleeved ones too though.
