what airport?

hey guys,

I'm coming to knoxville for a weekend in august, and need to know the nearest airport to either oak ridge or knoxville. Also, how far of a drive is it approx from downtown of either city.

The Knoxville Airport Code is TYS short for Tyson McGhee. Although it is the Knoxville Airport, it is really in ALCOA, but that is about 20 minutes from downtown. Air fare through Tyson can be pricey. You might try The Nashville Airport for cheaper fares. It is code is BNA. Try Expedia.

Personally I think the airport codes are crazy and the FAA must be on Crack. Good Luck.
