Casshern looks great. I've heard a lot of positive reviews for this, including Midnight Eye, which is my favorite Japanese cinema site. Hard to believe such an impressive look film could come from such a crap anime. As soon as it is available on good old ebay, it will be mine!

As for the Grudge, I've heard mixed reviews for the original (which was a made for tv production) and have little to no interest in the hollywood remake. I have precious little tolerence for remakes in general.

Along the same lines as the grudge (Japanese modern ghost story) Takishi Miike's One Missed Call has been getting great reviews. Outstanding director.

You otta see Battle Royale and Ringu. Best Japanese films IMO.
