My God...There are so many...A few in no particular order...And, no Asian films (the list would be way too long then)

Devil's Backbone. I agree. A wonderful wonderful movie. It seems "older"somehow and classic.

Oh definitely City of Lost Children, its almost Gilliamesque with its camera angles.
