ATREYU: The Curse

This band I have recently discovered is so fucking wicked! They played Ozzfest this year and have a style all their own, with influences such as Pantera, The Cure, oldskewl AFI, Manson, Static X, and a twist of (good) 80's metal. The album focuses on gothic vampirism and how it relates to falling in love and the pain that comes with it. I highly recommend this album if it sounds appealing 2 u, (and alot of you it won't so get lost right here...)Highly impressive guitar work, and screaming vocals mixed with melodic ones add for a great work of art.So, go check them out 4 yourselves. :twisted:

Just in case anyone is interested, they are performing at Masquerade in Atlanta on November 3rd.

Yes, I am definitely interested, yet have no way down to Atlanta and back....unless we carpool a group trip down there....(sigh)(hinthint)

im a fan of the band but you obviously have a small music base into the last 15 years of punk and metal if you think they sound originial.
plus theres about 10 bands right now that sound just like them.... avenged 7fold is one of bands that sound just like them and kicks ass.
and they sound abso-fucking-lute-ly nothing like the cure, static x, or manson.

I agree with junkie they sound nothing like static x or manson they sound more like from autumn to ashes plus also halloween night atreyu is playing in nashville 20 dollars a ticket
