My $.02:
I'm not into "real" catholic schoolgirls but gimmie a woman in a short plaid skirt and kneesocks trying to act innocent when everyone (including her) knows she's not. That's a very different story!

I wasn't sure if I'd play along but a round of dress up could be fun. I guess I'm game. The place will look a lot different with more white on the floor.

I don't think the schoolgirl thing is encouraging actual pedophilia so much as encouraging sillyness.

I know I shouldn't be surprised that a subculture that mocks "goodness" and "virtue" would have creepy, selfish people, but damn, yo. There has to come a point when you look at yourself and ask "Are all my jokes about being "evil" really just a cover for my actual asshole-ishness?"

I think the airconditioning is a nice request. I was too intoxamicated and eye-patched to realize we did't have it last time.
I don't have a problem with the school girl thing, but I doubt I'll go with it because I went school girl at the last Knoxfetish munch, and that kind of got it out of my system for a bit. Can we have a come as your favorite cartoon night? I'd love to be Hong Kong Fooey.

I've been looking over all of the Request lists, and I've actually considered going through my discs and pulling all of the ones which I own and setting them aside.
Then I decided that that was ridiculous.

It never fails.
When I do ANYTHING besides play "Spur of the Moment" or "As soon as I can get to it" requests, the person who made the request is nowhere to be found, and everyone else leaves the floor.
I'm still debating what to do, but in my short little set, there's no way I could "connect the dots" with all of the usable requests which I own, and there are many good requests which none of us own.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Two other issues......
First, someone made reference to a "Hurt" MIX.
Caustic and I have beaten this one into the ground Before.
It's a COVER, NOT a "Mix". A COVER is when someone does someone else's song.
A "Mix" is when Someone, (Sometimes the Original Artist, sometimes another artist, sometimes a producer) Re-Arranges the Original Artist's recording.
PLEASE learn the Difference if you don't already know.

I dug that wonderful Fossil out from under a mountain of dust less than 8 months ago, and really haven't DJ'ed that many times in the Interim....

Terribly sorry, I just copied off the Nov. Sanctus playlist where Bone had mixed the Johnny Cash cover with the original NIN, and stated it as the (Bone Mix) so would it be referred to as a Remix instead of a mix?

Methinks Caustic thinks that anything played twice in a 4-6 month period is overplaying

I was thinking the other day...last Sanctus we (the women)were encouraged to dress sexxxy or something (like we don't already)...this sanctus it is requested we all play to the male fantasy of the innocent little skoolgirl (personally a woman who knows what she's doing and is much sexier to me)...

Ok, it really takes a lot to piss me off but I'm pissed. I'm referring to JaNell's comment and I don't even want to quote it. If you think anyone in our group has that mentality then please inform the rest of us so we can be aware. I really didn't want to wake up & see that shit this morning. That's why I don't watch the news. We're all adults here. And other than the also much discussed "that's gay" thread, no one has commented on anyone else's adult preferences. I agree with everything Lady Shaper said.

Personally, I don't particularly have some huge schoolgirl fetish. I like when Cathy wears short plaid skirts, because they're short skirts that make her legs look great, not because it allows me to pretend she's 12.

By the same token, I like girls who dress up in "raver" gear. That does not mean I literally want to go to raves or associate with actual ravers.

I also like girls dressed up in gothy outfits. That does not mean I actually like goths.

I think it's more disturbing when girls like guys who are dressed as priests or other "authority figures". Now that's a little bit weird for my taste.

I'm personally not going to edit anything yet. The other moderators naturally may have a different opinion on the subject I would like to say though that I don't think JaNell was seriously implying that dressing up as schoolgirls would encourage pedophilia. Looking over her posts I think it's likely she was typing tongue in cheek. Naturally I can't speak for her but after reading over her earlier posts in this thread that's the notion i get.

Just try to debate nice ok? A good rule to follow would be "Attack the notion, not the person."

And I'll play Male Advocate here. What kind of theme would the women be suggesting anyway?
