You have a 3 yr old, yet you're seeking items that "look cool when you're high"?

Wow, that just shouts irresponsibility.
If she were a street gang, I'd go to war with her with bottles and chains.

Actually the black light posters would be cool wall paper for the baby room. I know that if I were a baby i would dig it.

the only problem is that black lights can seriously harm young eyes, if they are exposed too often or for too long of periods of time

Personally I don't think that someones choice in decor should be of anyone else's concern, but then again I like the same stuff. Now that said I also don't think that what someone does with their spare time is of anyone else's concern either. Just let it be known that responsablities come before vices and stating things like that on the internet is bound to get certain types of people all pissed off.

You're also right, Ryan. Kind of stepped out of our bounds making comments like that, sometimes I need to keep my opinions to myself :-x lol

I didn't know 7 posts makes one a frequent poster. ;)

I think you'd probably have the best luck by going to garage sales & stuff. Too bad I just gave away the extra microwave we had.

keeps getting better and better, eh?

And yah, agree with Mo, 7 isn't too frequent, and yard sales are good. Also, try thrift stores.

Sounds like you need a lot of stuff, I hope you and your family actually have some furniture right now?

And um, asking for basic things in a time of need them is fine, but do you really *require* a large mouth bass on plaque and a male yardgnome? This makes people think you aren't serious, and no one is going to help you.

I have nothing to give, I'm sorry. I'm planning on moving out of my parent's house in the next 6 months, and am myself trying to find household items and a car. But I wish you the best, for your daughter's sake at least.

...I'm getting some deja-vu right now? Is this just me? Sorry...

Hrm...why should anyone give you something for free or cheap if you are spending your money on drugs??

Perhaps you need to check your priorities...

And was that some attempt at a threat???

Please excuse the same ip addy, I am the girlfriend. My boyfriend being one who likes to make folks laugh, decided since we needed to purchase some items for pretty cheap and thus far werent seeing anything at thrift shops here lately decided to post here about it.

It seems that his humor has been mistaken for something completely different. He just started seeing that the list was getting so long, and it would be funny to others if he started adding crazy shit as well. Anyhow, we do not spend our money on drugs and not furniture, and no mrs. buttercup, it was not a threat, he thought some of the responses a little unreasonable, he just thought folks would take it as a joke toward the end.

anyway to any of you who thought his extreme requests serious, I apologize. However he does have some deal with wanting to get a bass on a plague for the wall. I have advised him of how unbeunbeleivablyky that would be.

Thank you for your time. And for those of you who have offered good advice, and mercurygriffen, you nock the shit.

Nicely explained. Thank you for your diplomacy. I suspected some of the remarks to be attempts at humor & Merc vouched for him, so I wasn't worried, but I think it's pretty clear to see where someone could take them in a very different way from how they were intended. Gotta be careful about that kind of joking around when you make it clear you have little ones.

Again, glad that got all cleared up & hope you guys have good luck getting your house in order. We used to have one of the Billy Bass thingies (Xmas gag gift, I believe) but my husband killed it (he tried to take it off the backing & make it a floppy, slappy fish as I recall  ).

If you can hit yard sales early on Saturday mornings, you find alot of neat stuff, by the way.

agreed.

We have this wall that goes up to a cathedral ceiling, and he wants it for that. So that its like a focal point or something. um no. There will be no singing fish.
