Events Calendar

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Events Calendar

Post by DarkVader »

As I'm sure many of you are aware, one of the worst features of KnoxGothic.com was the events calendar. It was never updated, because it was such a pain to update. It looked a bit silly.

As of this morning, it's gone.

Instead, we have a new calendar software package installed. It looks a bit better, and it's MUCH easier to update, as it's now EVERYONE'S job to help with the updates. When you have an event to add, just click the + symbol for that date, and fill in your information. All events are of course subject to KnoxGothic.com approval, but as soon as they're approved, they will appear on the calendar for everyone to see.

It even has an iCal subscription available.

It's linked from the main page of KnoxGothic.com, or you can see it here:

Looks good.

Hey, if we make up amusing enough fake holidays, can they be added as well?

I'm Jewish. I don't work out. If god had wanted us to bend over, she would have put diamonds on the floor.

As far as what you can add - try to make it something that more than a few people will be able to participate in. That means you can post your birthday - if you're having an open invite party. Don't just post it in hopes of getting presents.

As for holidays - sure, post them. They will, of course, be subject to the same approval process as other events, but we'll likely approve most of them. Be sure you don't attach a time to them, or set the repeat.

I will be beardlessly watching a squirrel on Oct. 18th.

I suppose those of you who care already know this, but Nine Inch Nails is performing in Atlanta October 27 and in Nashville October 31st.
