If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Actually ive never been to Sanctus!

Post by zer0phelia »

 Even when i first lived here i hadnt been able to attend due to work. And now i probly still wont be able to (due to baby). Or at least not untill she is sleeping good and her grandparents can watch over her for a few hours when shes a little older.
I used to go to Fiction every wednesday when we did our thing back there years ago. Do we even still use Fiction? Could someone tell me what club's are being used now?
And whats up with Hottopic? When did that happen, lol? I dont want to make any body mad but it seems like every kid in Tennessee has suddenly decided that being Goth or Punk is cool! I used to get all kinds of stares and things said to me, but now its just normal to look like this? What happened?
Im not complaining really, its nice to be more accepted. It just seems like the kids are dressing like this as a fad and it kinda makes me feel like they think im just jumping on the band wagon too even though ive dressed like this since i was 12 (im 25 now)! (i apoligize to any kids who read this, this is just the way i feel. Im old, lol) So whats up with that?
Again i apoligize if i offended anyone i just really think that hottopics clothes are very low quality for the price you pay. I do buy my accesories there though, so im a little guilty to :)

Hot Topic was created in the late 80s. Damn I wish I had decided early on to capitalize on youth culture. The store here opened in may of 2003 with another location opening in may of 2004 at Knoxville Center.

No one is terribly original and you can't blame the kiddies for thinking some of the stuff you think is cool is cool too.

I will be 25 in a couple of months and I can't imagine what it would have been like if I'd had a HT nearby. All I had was goodwill and maybe delias...

I wouldn't worry about it though, the masses still seem to like their hollister and abercrombie and fitch.

And yes, HT sells horrid quality clothing for way too much money. But, there will soon be an alternative...me and my partner Thrall are opening a store in the spring called Wasted Potential. You can read about our developments at

http://www.xanga.com/such_wasted_potential

The club that was the underground was remodeled into condos and fiction moved down by bluecats. Bluecats/Fiction and Tonic are like a compound of clubs/venues now. I think its a crime...the underground should always be a club...*sigh*

currently there is temple@amnesia every saturday night
sanctus @ blue cats every third sunday of the month
and a new friday night event at urban coming up some time this month

wasn't there a song that went like that?

"......Well I've never been to Sanctus!

But I've been to Oklahoma....."

They play it on the oldies stations all the time.

No?

Maybe it just me and the voices in my head then.

Hehehe...

It's the voices in your head again, dear. Take your meds & you'll be alright... sort of. ;)
