Community discussion creates wonderful opportunities to show how diverse we are and how welcoming and inclusive we all can be. That's what this is about right? I think drama=bad.. But again opinons are like assholes...and I never said i didn't have one of those.. :twisted:

I meant that no one here gives a fuck. Not me or anyone else. Believe me, I get no feeling of importance whatsoever for being able to moderate one freakin' forum. I don't think any of the moderators are "important" because of anything to do with KG , however a couple of them are very close friends of mine.

Community discussion creates wonderful opportunities to show how diverse we are and how welcoming and inclusive we all can be. That's what this is about right?

I'm not the fucking welcome wagon or here to make anyone feel good about themselves...apologies if thats required for being on this forum....I admit I haven't read the FAQ in about 3 years...

This has gotten completely blown out of proportins in my opinion, Cernobyl style. The jyst of this thead that I have gotten has been someone, a "juggalo", at that, posted something about ICP fans being compaird to a cult. Other people then chimed in and said that they do not care for ICP or some of their fans. Other people take offense to this becuase they are "juggaloes" and get upset, fight starts, am I right here on the basic gyst of the thread? Whats the big deal, my tastes in music have been shat on many a time, even here on this board. Did I get pissed off telling people that they are idiots because they do not "get" my music? No, because I am a rational adult and realise not everyone will like my music. I for one find this whole thing quite silly and immature on all parts, and here I go adding to it. No I do not perticularly care for ICP's music, although on some levels I "get" and can appricate the satire of what they have to say, I just don't like how they say it sometimes. Much the same way I can appricate what some hip hop artists are saying but detest how they say it and the imagary that they use, and I love hip hop. I also have not liked most of their fans I have met, not saying they are bad people we just have nothing in common. We are all here because we do share some common interests, but we do not share them all. There are going to be things that we do not agree with each other about. Everyone has their own experiences that lead them to feel the way they do about things and those can rarely be changed. So could we please just agree to disagree on somethings, realize that not everyone on here is going to want ot be friends with everyone else and just be civil and drop the whole matter. The issue that this has become seems more suited for a private discussion and in so much would not have people egging it on so that it may finally be resoved in some form or fashion. Thank you for your time, if you feel like flaming me for this go ahead. I have been wondering for days why this thread has not been closed.

Ya know, when I first posted this article...I never thought it would turn into this.

I thought it was cute, and funny...and others might get a kick out of it, laugh, roll their eyes, and that would be it.

Boy, was I wrong.

The posts in this thread have pissed me off, frustrated me, hurt me, and made me think. All in all, in must be a good thread, hahah.

I agree that people get a little too hot under the collar when it comes to musical tastes. I am one of those people. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. I think music means different things to different people. Personally, I don't even think I'd be alive today, if it weren't for music. Music is a big part of my life. It's allowed me to escape from my life, when I had nowhere to go. It's helped me work through many feelings and emotions.

But, I know there are some that listen to music, just because. I know there are people out there that it is just entertainment to, and that's cool.

If people shared the same views, and had the same likes and dislikes this world would be so boring.

I honestly don't think this thread should be locked/deleted. I think it's interesting to see how others feel/act/communicate with others. We're able to learn more about one another.

About stereotyping....

My brain tells me that it is a good thing. It's helped us to survive and prosper and all that. My heart on the other hand disagrees. I've been stereotyped many times before, and I know how bad it can hurt.

I don't think anyone should slam or attack anyone over this shit though. It's silly. Opinions are opinions. I'm glad not everyone shares mine. And, it makes me feel good that there are people out in this world strong enough to stand behind what they believe, and not be afraid to state their opinion. It is a fine line though, I guess...opinions, and being hurtful.

I know I've gotten a little upset in this thread....but I want to say, right here and now....I don't hate anyone that has posted in this thread. It would be silly. And, I don't agree with hating on someone just because of their opinions, and I definitely don't agree with trying to oust someone from our "scene" just because they are highly opinionated, and state exactly what they feel. Yes, it may come off as rather abrasive at times....It may not be the way I, or others do things. But, ya know, at least you can say that people that do this aren't fake. It frustrates me to know that someone would be willing to attack anothers character just because they don't agree with them. Sad.

People have always given me a hard time over my musical tastes. It's the story of my life. I absolutely positively adore George Michael. Do you know how much shit I get for that? And, my boyfriend constantly fucks with me because I am a big fan of Bread. Oh well. I try not to take it to heart.

But, I am guilty of doing just that. Of getting all riled up....over music. Sometimes when you post on message boards, you don't really take the time to think before you post....you act rashly. I'm not sorry for anything I've said, don't get me wrong.

I think the biggest thing that has bugged me, is the stereotyping, and how people can just wave someone and their interests off as stupid. Like I've said before...it's cool to be all like, ya know...that just isn't my cup of tea. It's not my thing. I don't like it. I think it's uncool to be like, that music is just stupid, and anyone who listens to it is just stupid. Making comments like that to me is just silly.

And, I wanna say again, it is soooo wrong to take stuff like this personally, and break all violent. And, it is VERY wrong to try and rally people against a person just because you don't like their opinions. Just silly.

I hope at least 10% of this made some sort of sense
