Graveyard Blvd-Tonight Johnson City
Since my film festival was pretty much snowed(not bitter) out and I'm in J.C., I'll be catching what is left over of The Frankenstein Drag Queens (no Wed. 13 but I hear his new stuff on his website is good, not that Murder Dolls b.s.)tonight at the Hideaway(if mgmt. will let them do their thing). Is anyone else checking this out?It caught be by surprise as I know some were travelling to NC to see them next weekend.

Graveyard Boulevard is *NOT* what is left over of FDQ.
Wednesday 13 *WAS* and *IS* FDQ.
When Wed13 closed FDQ....none of the GB guys were EVEN MEMBERS ANY LONGER!!!!
And, I don't understand how people could diss the Murderdolls. To me, it was just FDQ (since wed13 was in the band, and like I said, he was/is fdq) with more of a chance to be heard.
From what I understand, Seaweed is no longer in GB anymore either....
I used to have a lot of respect for Seaweed...until he fucked over his best friend/bandmate Wed13, and jumped ship to another band....because it looked to him like they would make it more quickly. Bullshit. I bet he felt silly once Murderdolls happened. Ya know....he prolly would have wound up IN murderdolls if he hadn't screwed over and hurt his friend.
Wed13 is, and always will be the creative mind behind FDQ.
And, I don't understand how you can completely judge a band by watching a video ONE TIME. You should at least give the album a chance.
I think it sucks when sore ex members of a band try to capitolize on Wed13's success......success he worked very hard for and DESERVED.

Regardless of personality or deserving, dissliking MurderDolls but liking Frankenstien Drag Queens is like saying "I like this band but only the stuff they did in their basement when they were starving." Most of the songs are the same, just with a bigger budget. Joey from slipknot saw potential in Wed13 and saw the shit that was going down with the band and said " You wrote the songs, came up with the ideas, and promoted the band. Want me to join up and give you money and all of the credit?" And the only cost was changing the name, which wasn't mass marketable. Say what you will about the Murderdolls but they still kick ass.
O.K. I don't know what has happened with band members since the Drag Queens split,'cause I don't have a lot of time to keep up with that kind of stuff and I never said I didn't like the Murderdolls stuff-'cause as pointed out, it's pretty much still Wednesday 13's stuff. I just favor shows in smaller venues 'cause they're almost always more fun, so I miss the Drag Queen days.....just wanted to clarify that.....
"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."
i used to hang out with FDQ. the FDQ stuff is far better than the crap the murderdolls are putting out. i have listened to pretty much everything that both has done.
on a side note.. i have been to every FDQ show in knoxville (i think..). they were actually the first band i saw when i was 17 at the 319.

according to him, if i remember the conversation, he went to October because he likes that kind of music better. i have their cd, FDQ is far better, and he was in both bands for a while. he didn't just drop ship.

You must be thinking of Ikky or Skabs. Those two were in October. Seaweed jumped ship to a band based out of France.
I was at that first show at 319, and the other time (s)? they played there. Also the bluecats show....I think you were at that one too, right?
And, IMO, October was cool....but I did prefer FDQ. (Did you go to the October show at 319?)
I loved 319. Wish it was still around.
I really don't understand why people get so upset over bands they enjoy "making it"...It always seems so selfish to me....like people always want them for themselves, and get jealous when the mainstream hears them.

If/When the murderdolls tour again....they don't have the success in the states to do bigger venue shows.....I'm sure theyd be playing clubs.....
I guess I have time to keep up with this kind of shit because music is pretty much my life. heheh.

I agree, the changes they made to the FDQ songs on the Murderdolls album was just piss poor. I almost choked when I saw the White Wedding video, sadly I wasn't able to make it last night(this has to be the worst weekend I've had in a long time) so I don't know if Seaweed is doing the vocals/bass or what, but yes Wed was FDQ,http://wednesday13.com/ and his new shit is a lot better than the glamour dolls. Demon girl welcome to Knoxgothic, nice to meet ya,not everyone treats this site like a damn fighting forum .
BTW Karma I got the 319 show on vhs,a copy is yours if ya want it freak.
