Ex bf called me 'supergirl' many years ago; I liked it cuz I'm actually pretty tiny and weak. I hung the 'va' in front of it cuz I'm in Virginia.

Don't remember if I answered in the old thread but I don't think so...

Several years ago my friend got me to download some kind of messenger thingy. I usually just used Amelie (my real name) on everything, but it was taken. And so was everything else I could think of. So I just made up something that I knew no one else would have so that I could have the same screen name on everything. That name was "Vachticious" and is my screen name everywhere except here, where I decided to shorten it to "Vachy" and I have no idea why. I've contemplated changing it for a long time, but I'm too lazy. I still might one day.

I stole mine from a little kid. :twisted:

O. K. More specifically, years ago we went to the fair and being the picture freak that I am I took lots of pictures. My daughter came out with red eye in almost every picture of her, so we decided she look possesed and started calling her "demongirl." At about the same time, I was setting up my hotmail account and none of the names I was trying would work, so when Raven came walking into the room I typed in demongirl and demongirl42 popped up as available. Since 42 is the answer, I knew I had to stick with that. Plus Raven's just way cooler than me anyway.

College + alcohol + deranged dormroom philosophy discussion + Weis & Hickman's Death Gate Cycle = white_darkness

That's the short version.

I used to go by spookwhore, which the reasoning is in the old thread....But the password was changed...

The screenname I go by now used to be AXSaint...But I got tired of people pronouncing it 'Axe' 'Saint'...So I changed it...This fits better anyway...

Now for the reasons for the screenname AXSaint:

AXSaint is short for Alexis St. James...A pseudonym of mine...
It's also short for Saint of Asphyxiation...

Does your screenname now have something to do with guns? I know nothing about that sort of thing.
How is AXSaint supposed to be pronounced?

*lol* stormy... i was thinking the same thing but am too lazy to go find my post previously... so:

bear is commonly taken and while everyone in my family has called me heatherbear pretty much all my life, it's just a little too personal... my two screen names come from one thing- tatoos....
blackwidow was my first tattoo ...done myself during classes in highschool... and an online name used only when i'm particularly pissy
BearDragonLady is due to my other tatoos... I have a bear, well, several actually and a dragon...again, several actually... and it fits my duality as well...
makes me want to metion my avatar, though... a betrayed lonely shrine maiden who wants to kill anyone in her path...but, then again, my screen name takes care of that too :P

Okay, I didn't want to find my old post either, but here goes my explanation for screen names. The one I use on this board comes from the fact that I used to spend most of club nights standing in a dark corner, only stepping out to spend the majority of the night on the dance floor. In addition, Shadow Dancing was once a movie that I saw about a haunted dance studio. The movie really sucked, but the dancing was quite good.

Chemical Freak is another name that I tend to use in other forums because I work in the chemical industry and can be a real geek about chemical processes and their principles, workings, etc. at times.

There are actually two stories of my name's origin. It actually began as a joke. A former co worker of mine had a birthday party at the Cotton Eyed Joe about eight or nine years ago. I told her I would go, but I was going to dress however I pleased. I showed up in fill vinyl cowgirl gear. The cowboy wannabes ate it up. Every time some redneck would come up to hit on me and ask my name, I told them it was Miz Kitty (like on gunsmoke). Most of them walked away dumbfounded. I had a great time....got a boot shine, rode the bull, the whole nine yards. a few weeks later my coworker came in quite dismayed and said all the guys at the Joe kept asking her about Miz Kitty.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with guns, though I thought about changing it to MP7, MSG90, or CAWS12...my screenname is still AXSaint...Just spelled with a few numbers, here & there...

4=A
X=X
5=S
4=A
1=I
N=N
7=T

See?.....

The proper pronunciation is to pronounce the first two letters individually...A...X...Saint...Most people just want to run them all together...& you get AxeSaint...

::raises arm like cybernetic ghost of christmas past from the future:: THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO BEFORE THE DAWN OF MAN KIND I was called Ben. Kershaw. An incredibly lame name, isn't it? Well, I got sick of going by the name ben, because there were a lot of idiots at my school by the name ben. So i just went by my initials whenever i signed artwork, etc. However, my intitals are BK. Just like Burger King. So, inspired by S-Ko from guilty gear, I changed it to B-Ko. Then i saw project A-Ko. To destroy ties to that kinda bad anime, i changed the - to a _. It didn't really work, but oh well.

Yeah. So, the _ doesn't represent a dash or space. That's how it's spelled. Sorry for boring you.
Dude, i've got a full on robot chubby.

Elf is easy. I was given that nickname my first year at TTU and it stuck with me even after a move to CA and back. I was often told I looked like an elf. Anywhere that the name is taken or too short I use rumielf since I love his poetry.

the aim name of jaina1138 is very much a star wars geekiness thing. Jaina one of Han and Leia's kids. The number is not from the THX1138 but from a line in "A New Hope" paying homage to it. The line was said while rescuing Leia. "Prisoner transfer, from cellblock 1138."

I'm such a nerd. Oy.

After the death of king Proca of Alba Longa, the city was left to his two sons. Being the older son, Numitor ruled Alba Longa and agreed to let his younger sibling Amulius control the treasury of riches brought from Troy by their ancestors. Using the money, Amulius started a revolt and deposed his brother to put himself on the throne. To avoid future retribution, Amulius forced his niece Rhea Silvia to become a Vestal virgin so that she would never bear any children who might seek revenge. During an eclipse on November 12, 772 BC, however, Mars entered Rhea's bedchamber and raped her, but some say that the culprit was Amulius himself dressed in armor. When twin boys were born on August 7, 771 BC, Rhea also might have named the god to cover up a consented breaking of her vow of chastity.

Nevertheless, Amulius was furious and almost ordered Rhea's execution, but his daughter Antho pleaded for her cousin's life. Rather than upset his daughter, Amulius spared Rhea Silvia and simply threw her in prison. The twins, however, did not receive such clemency, and Amulius ordered that they be thrown into the Tiber river. Luckily, the Tiber was overflowing its banks at the time, and the soldier sent to cast the children into the water, sometimes named as Faustulus, simply placed the trough at the river's shallow edge. When the water receeded, the infants landed on a piece of land called Cermanus (earlier Germanus after the Latin for brother). A she-wolf coming to the river for a drink heard the infants' cries and lovingly gave them her teats to suck. At this spot, it is said the Ruminalis fig-tree grows, deriving its name from the ancient Italian word 'ruma' meaning 'breast'. The woodpecker Picus is also said to have brought them food, as both the wolf and woodpecker are sacred to the boys' father Mars.

Soon, Amulius' swineherd Faustulus came upon the boys and brought them home to his wife Acca Larentia. Acca was known as an unchaste woman and might have been the actual 'lupa' who suckled the infants,

as the Latin word 'lupa' means both 'she-wolf' and 'prostitute'.

Faustulus named the infants Romulus and Remus (from 'ruma' because he found them suckling a wolf) and raised them as shepherds
Wolves are not our brothers nor are they our subordinates. They are another nation, caught up just like us in the complex web of time and life.

That's simple. Just go to the mall and and club people to death with a three foot dildo while wearing a bunny suit and singing John Denver songs at the top of your voice.

A straight jacket will be donated to your cause faster than you can say, "Goth is dead."

I actually have 2, for different purposes.

amazongoddess came about because all my friends nicknamed me "the amazon"...mostly because I'm 5'11'', stronger than all the girls and most of the men I know, and I'm good with some weapons. The "goddess" part came from everyone telling me I have a very intimidating, aggressive personality. And because an old friend told me I have the beauty of a goddess.

My other screen name...dimentia81 is from highschool. Everyone always said I was demented and a little unnerving. So I changed the spellng a little, added on the year of my birth, and there you go. And of course I became a psych major in college and now have a degree...so it stuck.
I'm not as think as you drunk I am, occifer. I've never felt so good in your wife!
