Road trip to my hometown? I'll hook you up with cheesesteaks, soft pretzels and the like.....

*disclaimer* Dracula's Ball is only for the super uber goth.

as much as i would love the cheesecake, this clashes with temple and not being uber goth i would most likely get turned away at the door ;)

Me, KarlaBoo and Arkady went last May when Arkady was invited to DJ...it was pretty fun, though I really want to go again simply to go to the Mutter Museum which we didn't get to see on our weekend up there.

"One Saturday we took a walk to Zipperhead" and that was I think the highlight. Digital Ferret was pretty cool, too, and Patrick was very friendly and accomodating even though he had so much to do.

I had a good time, but it made me feel much better about our scene, people in a big city are just as likely to be poseurs and wankers as are people around here...I was expecting to meet, like, pretentious uber goths, but I think we were cooler than most of the people there and thank goodness, we're not yankees ;)

I spent most of my evening in the band/dj lounge area with The Empire Hideous and Seraphim Shock because my shoes were killing me.. I guess I could get some of those pics up finally.

OH, and I'm gonna have to disagree on it being for the "super uber goth,' there were plenty of goobs just like ours there ;). I think Mr. Froustmourne is gonna have to go to the BatCave to find more of "the true goth style" of which none of us can compare...*giggle*

Oh I know, actually I think I like all the yankees I've met on here, except "Laura From NY" and I think it was everyone's opinion that she could just go the hell back...lol

I am sure we are both sharing the caustic wit and knowing that when I said super uber goth I was being sarcastic.

Not to mention the only True Goth's are the Visigoths.....and they sure ain't showing up to Temple or Sanctus.

Um, I was at the BatCave last month...

There were SO many goobs there.

One huge gentleman (huge as in pro-wrestler huge) was sporting combat boots, black fishnets, vinyl man-thong panties, and black lipstick. That's it.

It was the yuckiest thing I have ever seen.

Oh, I've never been there but its good to know that. I am not intimidated with anyone else's scene or city...I was being sarcastic and referring to other posts about NY's supposed superiority.

I've noticed I'm hella cool whereva I go ;).

And yes, wrestlers in vinyl or fishnet is a disgusting sight that should be outlawed. Nobody wants to see that...

Digital Ferret was pretty cool, too

i crashed at that kids house the last time i was in philadelphia
he booked the show the show for us there

not the owner
but the only other kid that works there
and i forgot his name
and i feel like a dick

but phili is awesome

the relapse store is in that same area as digital ferret
it rocks too
i'd rather be your enemy than hear you call me friend

One of my hopes had been to make it to one of the Dracula's Balls this year; however, it won't be this one, since I already have a week vacation planned the week before.
I'm not wicked. I'm just viciously mischievous.
