I wouldn't ever own a gun either, but that's cause I would go on a killing rampage...even tho I think it would be more fun with a large sharp object, it'd just be easier with a gun or 2.

As far as my stance on everything, I don't really pay that much to politics only cause they don't hold my attention.
But I am against abortion. I think if you can't handle/afford to have a kid then you should keep your legs crossed. I understand that there are people who get them for health reasons or whatever, but I don't know, I just don't agree with it.

I think the biggest problem in American politics currently is it's tendecy to be over simplistic. People follow one party or philosophy to it's very end. Tag words are thrown about to induce sentiment. and subdue rational thought. The public is the reason for this. Imagine a two hour movie that presented opinions from four different people on a single matter with researched evidnece. Now imagine a two hour movie with one guy screaming oneliners and giving out evidence that only supports his/her theatrical thesis.

Now to my personal political thoughts.

Marriage: It's a pet peeve of mine that people who oppose homosexuals the right to be legally married back this up with the catchprhase "Protecting Marriage". Protection Marriage from what I wonder. Protecting marriage from even more people who love each other? Protecting marriage from even more peope who want to soldify their lives against each other? Protect marriage from even more people who want to practice the same rights that millions of others have.

Dangerous homosexuals going to turn us all into horny toads you know.

It's one thing to object to a belief, relgion, sexuality, so on and so on into human experience. But to deny someone something just because you don't agree with it is over stepping it.

On the whole gun issue I say:

SHOOT ME IN THE FACE!

I don't like HAND guns. I don't like the idea of murder being so easy for anyone.
If it had stayed at shotguns and riffels then I wouldn't have such an issue with it.
Hand guns are evil. There is no reason to have such a compact killing machine other than to hide it from plain view.
For that matter even though I have a thing for things that go BOOM
I don't like the idea of explosives being used as weapons.
It would be nice if we could all go back to the days when if you had
the urge to kill someone you had to find them and take them out
the old fashioned way, with hand to hand or melee weapons.

Which brings me to my next point. I wouldn't have such an issuse
with war if the leaders who were controling the politics going into it
were on the battle feild too.
I don't think there has beena a leader to ride out with his men

On the subject of homelessness. When the property value sky rockets when these condos are made. RICH PEOPLE INHABIT THEM.
The difference in the rent is so overwhelmingly great that it far over comes the amount of money lost by these
overwhelmingly poor people becoming homeless.

taxes off of poor people = small

taxes off of rich people = large

the fact that these poor people are homeless now takes away a very small amount of money from the governments funds

but when these rich people move into these expensive condos...the amount of money they pay is so great...and the land value
becomes so high..that the taxes that the government recieves is very high. It also causes citizens to believe that the
"quality of life" is raising...thus generally we are making progress (although there are more homeless than before after those
buildings are built.
