Welcome to the forum. UT has its good points and bad points. Don't let the bad ones get you down. Sanctus and Temple are great stress relief for that sort of thing.

I have already graduated. I did meet some wonderful people there that I still keep in contact with, so I can't complain from the friends standpoint either. My biggest complaint was always with the university's demand for money and the effect that it had on the professors that were teaching some of the classes that I attended. When they [the professors] are working so hard on projects that bring UT money, its hard for them to have a lot of time for their students.

Something that I have been meaning to ask someone that was still there though, is Ray's still open on the hill?

Yes, that is Ray's. It is good to hear that it is still open. I spent a lot of time between classes there, and the guy that ran it was great.
As for money, I was talking more about UT's demand for money in the fact that they seemed to "really like" the professors that could bring in outside money to fund the university through research projects. I had some great professors. They just seemed stressed at times from the added demand to maintain the research contracts.
BTW, cool deal on the scholarship through the Army. It certainly makes going through school a little easier.
