I'm also a dork, but not a roleplaying one. In my opinion, when a person starts relating sexual activities to a chemical production process, I think that means that the person is a warped dork. Either that, or I have been working way too many hours these past three weeks.
I'm not wicked. I'm just viciously mischievous.

Hehe. LARP is what people do when they can't find a good 3d multiplayer game to play.

how long would it take a complete idiot, with no history in these things, to learn how to play, and how soon would said idiot realize if it was going to be any fun or not?

Really it depends on the system...I could probably teach you any system that I know in about 20 minutes...You could figure out if you would find it fun, about an hour into a game...It's really not hard...It just relies on your *insert rainbow* I-MAG-IN-A-TION....

It's a shame you haven't found any 'interesting playmates'...Seems like you wouldn't have much of a problem with that...lol...

I would love to get a Cthulu game up & running, but I don't know of anyone that would really get into it...
