I was addicted to Manhunt on PS2 for a while. It's probably the most disturbing and violent game ever. Finally got through it.
Looking forward to getting my hands on San Andreas and Snake Eater for PS2, Resident Evil 4 for the cube.

World of Warcraft Open Beta.. Server 20.. Horde..

When it goes retail... I'm going to have to make a female undead character. They have the cutest little goth dancing emote.. Nothing compared to my orc doing the chinese typewriter, but damn is it funny all the same.

Anyone make it into the beta of The Matrix Online yet? For me, it ended up being a choice between my car and the game, and the Real World won, as always. I'll be jumping in there soon enough, though.

The Matrix Online

Post by Scorptrio »

I am in on the public beta of MxO. It's my first MMPORG, as all MMPORGS seem to be an endless treadmill of "run and kill" occasionally broken up by "sell and buy" and "level up." Evercrap and Dark Doo of Camelot and all those others... boring as watching the paint dry. Worlds of Warcraft was going to be my first, as it seemed as if someone finally got the idea that there should be spells and quests which can only be completed by cooperation among the players. Alas, the W brothers just had to turn my favorite sci-fi world into an MMPORG, so I plunked down the $55 and that will play at least until April 1st. After that, it's the typical $15 a month.

I've really enjoyed playing my first two days... I was able to create an RSI (residual self image, aka avatar) which looks just like me. I met three women while dancing in clubs or hanging out in parks and I snuck off for a little virtual necking... even got some girl-on-girl action going on. LOL - the virtual world is just like my own real one!

Overall, I'm pleased with it but it is still in beta and needs work. I'm afraid the "run and kill" treadmill is there, and missions consist of little more than, you guessed it, running and killing. Once the world goes live and public, they are promising more custom and guided missions which will advance the story.

The game’s main site is at:

Check out some screen shots I made.

I'm playing Let's recompile my kernel and stuff some low-level drivers so I can access all of my video card's ram so I can load my VR suite in real-time and take over the world.

It's not a bad game, but it reminds me of Manhunt without the adrenaline rush, sometimes.

Primal is one of the most underrated games ever...

I just finsished Resident Evil 4, and I swear to God in 24 years of gaming it was one of the most fun experiences I ever had. And I'm not even a big RE fan.

I'm back to playing Battlefield Vietnam. There is nothing more fun than flying around in a helicopter and attacking enemy bases while listening to your own playlist of music that obviously wasn't around in the Vietnam era.

The average life expectancy of a chopper gunner in Vietnam was 7 seconds. Props to those here who know another "7 Seconds" based on the same idea. For some of us who were alive in the 60's and who remember the daily death tolls coming in, (much like today for this decade's war) games based on Vietnam are not considered fun entertainment. "Lucky" for this generation, games based on 21st century military conflict are already available. I've met kids who believe it's possible in real life to walk away from multiple gunshot wounds. Thanks, Hollywood. Thanks, entertainment industry. Now, if you'll excuse me, I just made level 10 in The Matrix Online and am leveling up my new HyperJump Ability, so I need to get back to it....
